Vaginal ultrasound
Worried? Nah!
Probably nothing eXtraordinary… really
You’ll hear the resultZ as soon as I get them
OK, this post is no fun but now my lame encyclopedia is done!
I have had a lot of heavy and abnormal bleeding lately and my favorite doctor is just checking things out. I am not a candidate for hysterectomy for a lot of reasons but a big one, he says, is that patients typically gain up to 25lbs and he’s afraid I will stab him if I gained any more weight…… I think he really believes this :o

I had an ablasion done 2 years ago, this is where they burn the lining of the uterus, but my uterus is off the charts and there is uterine territory that did not get charred because the machine could not reach it…… great, even my uterus is fat. So if there is no cancer (knock wood) he can freeze the lining, including the afore mentioned unchartered territory and I will be able to keep my parts (charred and frozen) and glorious hormones. Is anyone still with me?
Let’s talk about the pretty pictures.
I whipped up the cute apron this morning for our friend Rika. She’s having us over for dinner today and I have nothing to bring, I think this “mamadell” (this is what she calls aprons) will do just fine. Someday day I will do a post just on Rika……… you will be entertained for sure.
I didn’t make the cookie tower but isn’t it a cute party favor? Just sugar cookies and icing!

As you, my faithful readers (all 5 of you!) know.... I have a strong affection for rick rack as well as other trims. You probably may also know that I have no money which is what led me to this handy idea:
I buy those cheap packages of multicolored, pre-wound bobbins and use them on top of the machine where the thread goes when I need to sew on a few inches of rick rack. It saves me from having to buy full spools of every color thread that I may not ever need (yes, I am that broke!)
There ya go, I'm not sure if this is already common knowledge but as far as I know, I made it up.
Have a great Monday :)

S

S is for

the machine stitched cards I made and the awesome address stamp I purchased from sweetpaperie.etsy.com making a great gift for my bestest real-life friend on her birthday:

birthday gift for my friend

S is for Samantha, my first born. Smart, snarky, sweet, snotty, sassy, sensitive.

S is for school. I love the two Catholic Schools that start with S that educate our daughters. They are costing me small fortune but are worth every penny.

S is for sewing. I made this apron for Julia while she was running in and out of my sewing room asking what I was sewing, I told her a curtain......she was so surprised when she found out it was an apron for her!

Happy Birthday Julia!

S is for selling what you make. I continue to have mixed feelings about it. I make and sell things as a second job (as opposed to leaving my house and working for someone else at night) but it's still much more fun to make things and give 'em away.

P, Q

P is for grilled Pizza
P is for
This is so delicious and easy to make that it's crazy. Either make your own pizza dough or buy it already made and cut it into 1/4 lb. pieces and let it rest on an oiled cookie sheet, prep all of your toppings ahead of time; I did sauted spinach with garlic, sauted baby bella mushrooms with garlic, roasted peppers, sausage, calamata olives, pepperoni, ricotta cheese (pronounced ri-gawt here on the east coast), grape tomatoes with olive oil garlic and basil, shredded mozz and grated pecorino...set aside. Heat your grill to screaming hot, stretch your dough to as round and thin as you can (salad plate size) and place it on the grill. LEAVE IT ALONE until the bottom is good and browned or it will be a sticky mess, turn it, top it and let the cheese melt. I move them to the upper rack as I make more to keep them warm. Once I get an assortment made I slice them in fours put them on a platter and let everyone dig in. These are so good, you will be loved by your guests forever.

Man, I wish I had a yard like this:

We went to our friend's annual "back-to-school cook out yesterday. (Deb, Brooke says hi) It is hosted at her parent's house, who we all call Nana and Papa. Papa built a gorgeous 2 level deck himself, that I regret not taking a picture of, and had the land cleared for the pool and 33 steps leading to it. I was too busy drinking my delicious Margarita to take any other pictures but trust me... this yard it is heaven on earth.
Manicure- Julia really needs to get rid of this bad manicure before school starts on Tuesday!

M blog that I love- http://misseskwitty.blogspot.com/ everything Karen touches turns to cute.
