new things

Hi there~
I just thought I would pop in before I retreat to my air-conditioned sewing room for the day (thanks to my husband!)
I spent yesterday sewing lots of oilcloth items as usual but there were 2 new ones I tried for some nice etsy customers:
a custom oilcloth & rick rack table mat
custom mat 005
a custom oilcloth bib
oilcloth bib
Bias tape gives me anxiety but I managed just fine. This won't be a regular item of mine any time soon.
I made Julia a new camp tote from a cute dishtowel

And just look at this BEAUTIFUL necklace that I found at kneehighsnpigtails.etsy.com
I love this!
Camille makes such nice pieces that are just my style. She also makes the chain any length you want, what service! I tend to wear a lot of solid colors to work and like to use an interesting necklace to liven things up. I bet I will get lots of compliments on this one.
Have a good day~

  3. I know what you mean about bias tape---yuck. I actually bought a special foot for my sewing machine that is specifically for applying bias tape--nope, waste of cash! I like the table mat--what a good idea to have them from oilcloth (and you know I love the rick rack accent!).
Such a cute necklace--that little bird is perfect.
