Heatwaves & Migraines

Two crappy things that should never be paired together.
too hot for anything else
I hate hot and humid summer weather, hate it, hate it, hate it. We live on the second floor above my parents (I can write an entire different blog about this one) which is usually comfortable due to the sea breezes....... NOT during a %^%$%$$% heatwave though. UGH! To make matters worse, the AC at work doesn't quite reach the fiery pit of hell where my desk is so I am a sticky, crabby witch all day there too. As if this weren't enough fun, let's throw in a wicked migraine; the kind that makes you want to vomit if you have to see sunlight........ wait........ the pool is in the sunlight, isn't it? Do you think God is poking fun at me? I am a pre-menepausal woman for crying out loud, this is not funny!
I may put some sunglasses on and sew, we'll see.

I would like to close with one happy/grateful/thankful thing, perhaps it will create some good karma:
  • School uniforms! I have always been a fan but now that I took the big daughter for high school uniforms and am even more grateful. For $250 she is outfitted for the entire year (2 kilts, 4 polos, 1 zippered fleece, sweats, tee shirt, shorts). Take that Abercrombie and Fitch! *snap*

crap, there goes my good karma.... sorry abercrombie and fitch

Uniforms what a treat, I remember those Abercrombie days. $50. for a shirt that looked like it was from the rag bag at the salvation army, and oooh she had to have it even though it was too tight on her. Lucky you

I detest hot humid weather too. It's a few years away, but I think menopause will provide sweet relief from my migraines and I will be headache free in my old age...

i love summertime, it's one of my favorite seasons of the year. HOWEVER, hot and humid?... I hate it too. I live in Chicago, where the temps. can be 70 one minute and 100 the next UGH. it's been pretty steamy here the whole week too, which sucks cuz we can't spend too much time outside (otherwise we'll melt). sorry about your migraines and your office AC :(

Hey, I heart The Clash too! Lovely pool pic. I had a soggy birthday party for my 10 yr. old daughter. It poured all day, but they swam anyway. My towels are all muddy!
