free time?

Ok, so when you lose your job you'd imagine that you'd have all sorts of free time, right? Hmmmm, not happening.
I'm done being sad for now (I think) and I'm not yet panic-stricken. I've been busy with oilcloth, doctor, dentist, etc. David actually loves having me home, there's a nice dinner every night, we aren't scrambling for clean clothes at 5:00 am, and I am just more relaxed. If only that paid as well as my old job.
I can't post without a picture so check out this manly lunch bag

And check out this etsy shop, I don't know what my fascination with nuns is but this stuff is great:

If you are on my Christmas list, you may be getting a sister!

  1. Love the manly lunch bag :o)

I'm so sorry to hear about your job--pretty scary in this day and age, but you know that the Lord works in mysterious ways, and maybe this is his way of opening that other door?? Keep your mind open for His prompting....

I've been at home for 16years and I'll tell you right now that it's not boring nor is there a lack of work to do---EVER! LOL

Praying for you and your family...have a good weekend!

    Smiles, Karen

  2. Carol, I agree with Karen, maybe something even better will come your way! In the meanwhile why don't you go to the local quilt shops and bring some of your cute lunch bags and work up a class/materials sheet and discuss teaching for them?
You could also try selling the pattern on Etsy- I just bought 2 PDF's from Sarah Lechner that were for two different projects. They were 6 dollars each- that's cheap and affordable but it adds up!
What do you love? Think about doing what you love and how you can make money doing that- there is a cupcake delivery company here that survived and grew large enough to finally open a shop- you could be a party planner- or an event coordinator for sweet 16 parties!
Just ask God what he wants you to do and he will tell you.
I believe in you and so does he.
Look at it as a new opportunity and please be brave!
    Courage!!!
    You can do it!!!
    Rock on sister!!!
ps, those nuns are very funny!
    love you,
    kim
